Two

Two pigeons, on my window sill,
shying away from the monsoon rains,
gently cooing, with life afill,
seeing me, they risked the clouds again.

Back they came, fleeing those dreary, wet pains,
but I, covert in a corner, did blunder,
at their confused, affectionate fluttering- I laughed without refrain;
scared, they fled, wits asunder.

They were, two hearts, each shielding the other,
made wet by a person's blunder,

sticking together through varied times,
and by fate. Ah, Fate! What a wonder!

And I am one, with two eyes,
taking it all in,
hoping to be knowing and wise,
amidst the wide world's din.

Heyy your very first comment from your very biggest fan! I have a question for you. Are you just referring to the pigeons that take shelter on your sill from the rains, or are you using the pigeons as a metaphor to something deeper? Do tell me, I can't bear guessing!

I know what!!! The two pigeons are Varun and KAvitu. See, Kavitu asked one for her BDay and here's Ambs baby writing a tale of two birds on 1st Oct.
Good guess to sneha and Kanchi's Q's, Ambu???

Hi Ambar, nice to hear from you. There are 2 ways to open tabs in IE.

1) Download IE 7 (new version)
2) Download Windows Live toolbar

Both are easily googleable (this is now a word in the oxford dictionary i believe)
